As the rot at the heart of the Augustine government became apparent, we acted more overtly – Inquisition forces beyond my retinue were activated, and the local PDF deployed to bolster the stretched Adeptus Arbites forces.
As fate would have it she came to me unbidden, I had requested transport from the PDF’s motor pool – I was in my grief and anger somewhat… forceful in my request of the Armsmen. Mara delivered the beaten Speeder to my location within the hour, I wasn’t expecting a member of the Engineers Corps too, but the rosette tends to expedite things.
She became, throughout the Augustine incident and the pursuit of Frayne after, the de facto pilot, driver and source of technical expertise amongst my operatives. As with my other operatives I haven’t pried into her past, but her skill set extends beyond what I would expect of an Engineer Corpsman – I assume a historic gang link judging by her tattoos. Either way, she has proven a more than competent pilot of any vehicle we’ve come across, and her ‘wider’ skillset has seen us able to bypass numerous security systems that would have proven troublesome.
