A love letter to the 3rd ed Imperial Guard Codex
I’ve had this project on my to do list for a long time, and ultimately it was the Munitorum Rollcall competition organised by Greenwood Minis over on Instagram that got me to do it. I’ve spent probably hours since 3rd (the best) edition pouring over these two pages at the back of the Guard codex.…

Arrce of the Covenant from Mörderin
I tried to stick to the colours in the artwork (below), as well as the colours from the John Blanche @thearmypainter.bsky.social sets.

Grimhilde from Mörderin
Based on the above artwork, I didn’t have much to go on for the colours, but I’ve decided to paint these models using only paints available in the Armypainter Blanchitsu sets — seems poetic too and having a restricted palette is always a nice challenge.

Children of the Saviour Worm
This warband has been in my head for at least three years now, probably longer and I have been collecting bits for the whole time. Finally they’re a real thing and out of my head. I wanted to channel something different to the classic minis and move away from the red that they so often…

Iron Hands — an experiment in Art Scale & Colour Shift
I had long lamented not painting my Iron Hands in the colour shift/oil slick scheme that was popularised by Forge World, so when I saw these monstrous Saturnine terminator from Sedivalle I took the opportunity to. These models are absolutely monstrous! Too big for my tastes in my regular army, but I’m working on a…
