Recovered by a Benedician counter attack she refused to retreat from the chapel, and was assigned to penal battalions for insubordination. She fell further into fanaticism, eventually practicing as part of the Cult of His Burning Visage.
It was as part of this penal duty her regiment was requisitioned by Longchamp where her dedication to the Emperor impressed the puritanical inquisitor and she became a permanent member of his retinue.
